• While we Mac users have long awaited Microsoft to give us an official Xbox app for MacOS (much like the Windows 10 version), I have been trying to find a way to emulate the Xbox app on Mac, for useful input into in-game text chat in games like Warframe when it can get very tiresome to use the app on a phone.
• XBox HID Driver extends and improves your XBox controller's compatibility with your Mac. With an adapter, the XBox controller (and other XBox peripherals) can be plugged into a PC or Mac's USB port. However, the XBox controller is not HID-compatible, so it is not usable by games or applications without a special driver.

Install the App

1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
2. Run in Terminal app:
   ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' 2> /dev/null
   and press enter/return key. If you are prompted to enter your Mac's user password, enter it (when you type it, you wont see it on your screen/terminal.app but it would accept the input; this is to ensure no one can see your password on your screen while you type it. So just type password and press enter, even if you dont see it on your screen). Then wait for the command to finish.
3. Run:
   brew install xone

Done! You can now use xbox-one-controller-driver.
